New TV Shows, New Seasons & New Streaming Series Out This Week

This week you can watch a new episode of The Simpsons that’s only available on streaming, the returns of two streaming series, plus a couple of international thriller shows on Netflix.

The Simpsons

As the title suggests, the latest Simpsons episode that’s exclusive to Disney+, “Yellow Mirror,” is a spoof of the long-running sci-fi anthology Black Mirror. The two short stories featured in the show include a satire of artificial intelligence, which gets its claws into little Maggie.

Where to watch The Simpsons’ “Yellow Mirror”: The episode is exclusive to Disney+ and premieres on August 26.

The Undeclared War

The Simon Pegg-led British thriller series returns for a second season this week. Per the official plot description, the new batch of episodes is set in 2024 and features “a fresh wave of tension and drama as the elite Malware Department at GCHQ grapples with the aftermath of a devastating Russian cyber-attack.”

Where to watch The Undeclared War: Season 2 premieres on Peacock on August 27 with all episodes streaming.

Adults

This FX comedy series, which premiered in the spring of 2025, is about a group of friends “in New York trying to be good people, despite being neither “good” nor “people” yet. Samir, Billie, Paul Baker, Issa and Anton share their meals, anxieties and, occasionally, toothbrushes.”

Where to watch Adults: Season 2 premieres on FX and Hulu on August 27. This season runs eight episodes.

All the Truth in My Lies

Based on the novel by Elísabet Benavent, All the Truth in My Lies follows a bachelorette party that, per Netflix, goes from “ultimate summer getaway” to “unforgettable disaster.” (I hate when that happens. Except on a TV show. Then it’s usually quite entertaining.)

Graveyard

On the third season of this Turkish crime drama, per Netflix, “When sinister boxes arrive at women's homes across Türkiye, Chief Inspector Önem and her team reunite to unravel a connected web of misogynistic murders.”
