Justin Bieber Is Seeking Treatment for Depression
Just last week, Justin Bieber got candid about his past problems with drugs during a cover story for Vogue.
"Drugs put a screen between me and what I was doing. It got pretty dark,” he said. "I think there was a time when my security was coming in late at night to check my pulse and see if I was still breathing.”
He also opened up about his struggles with depression, admitting his decision to cancel his Purpose tour in 2017 was because of his mental health. Now, a source close to the pop star has told E! News that he's seeking treatment. He's "battling depression and he's been having a difficult time," the insider said.
"He really wants to get better," they continued. "He has been seeking all the help he can get."
During this trying time, the 24-year-old has leaned on "the people that love him most," including his wife, Hailey Baldwin, and his pastor.
"I struggle with finding peace. I just feel like I care so much and I want things to be so good and I want people to like me. Hailey's very logical and structured, which I need," Bieber admitted in the Vogue interview.
"He is in outpatient therapy and getting help every day," E! News' source explained. "This is his focus right now."
