Going to the zoo is cool and all, but going to the zoo with ZooLights is way better.

You know what? Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago knows it too. That's why, for the 24th year, Lincoln Park Zoo is unleashing ZooLights.

According to the Lincoln Park Zoo:

This FREE event transforms Lincoln Park Zoo into a twinkling winter wonderland for 35 nights complete with visits from Santa, ice sculptors, strolling carolers, festive activities and sweet treats of all kinds.

Not bad for a free event. ZooLight times are 4:30 p.m. to (9 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights starting this week.

ZooLights go nightly starting Friday, December 7. While the event is free, Lincoln Park Zoo does have a few ticketed events, like a Breakfast with Santa, and an Adults Night Out: Holidaze (which sounds all sorts of awesome).
