MIXED: Stanley Cup Cake [How-To]

Blackhawks fans, you should probably make a cake like this. It might look difficult, but it is super easy.

Every year I try to make my dad a really fun birthday cake. He's the only guy I know who has a huge birthday party every year, and it always gives me the opportunity to make a giant cake and impress our family with my creativity.

I've made plenty of beer cakes, a Wrigley field scoreboard, a horse race track, and this year I made a Stanley Cup.

There was a lot of planning involved and a couple of prayers to the Tupperware and tin foil Gods, but the cake looked almost exactly how I pictured.

I only wish the smaller cake layer could've been a little thinner, but if that's my only complaint, I think it was a success.
