The Surging Popularity of the Classic American Diner
Using Google Reviews, Instagram posts, TikTok mentions, and online searches, researchers analyzed the best of the best.
The study says Sunliner Diner in Gulf Shores, Alabama, a hot spot for Illinois folks to spring break or summer vacation, was named the very best diner in the U.S.
Blueberry Hill in Las Vegas was named the second-best. Nevada was represented twice on the list, along with a couple of places in Georgia and spots in Maine, Arizona, and Washington.
One restaurant from Illinois ranked in the top 10, too.
Little Goat Diner ranked sixth nationally and has been around for over a decade.
From acclaimed Chicago chef Stephanie Izard, Little Goat Diner has been described as "Girl & The Goat's (Izard's other restaurant) diner sibling" by Thrillist.
