My Son Is On The Autism Spectrum

I'm a full time everything. I'm a full time Mom, I have a full-time job, I'm also a full-time teacher to my son, Liam. My days begin at 2 a.m. to workout, to get my mind right for the day ahead of me. During my workout, I always think of ways I can teach Liam new things. To help him be the best person that he can be. Each day is a challenge. My husband, daughter and Mom are a huge part of his everyday life. As we are always learning about him, his needs and how we can make his life the best it can be.

You see, we recently found out that Liam is on the autism spectrum. We've known for awhile that there was something. At an early age, we noticed that Liam was vocal, but wasn't saying words. We were really concerned around a year and a half, but we just couldn't find our answers. Finally, we have a diagnoses.

For years, he's been attending Early Intervention, and when he aged out, he joined the Early Childhood class at the elementary school. There, he has the best teacher and aides a Mom could ask for. Everyday, he comes home with smiles, and something new that he's learned. He's very social and loves to go to school.

Our family has high hopes for Liam. He's progressing everyday. We know he'll succeed and will do well in life. He's a lucky little boy with such a strong willed family behind him. Always teaching, always learning and always striving for the best for him.
