There are typically 12 full moons in an entire year, with the occasional extra "blue moon" every two-and-a-half years.  In Illinois, we're blessed to have another one full moon arriving soon!

I've never been big in astrology, but I was always that kid who wanted a star named after me.  It sounded so cool to be "a star"!

Since a full moon happens once a month, of course November is getting the spotlight soon.  It hasn't happened yet, so don't worry about missing it.

"November's full moon will appear slightly larger than normal and is known as a supermoon. Supermoons occur when the full moon coincides with the moon being at the point in its orbit within 90% of its closest approach to Earth, called Perigee. November's supermoon will be the last of four supermoons in a row this year." [space]

I feel like chaos amps up in my life when a full moon hits.  Not sure why, but everything seems to go wrong and it's all completely out of my control.

Here’s When We’ll See The Next Full Moon In Illinois

Our next full moon will be on Friday, November 15th, reaching its full phase at 3:29pm CST.  When the moon, sun, and Earth perfectly align, that's when the moon is 100% full.

Starting this month, I'm going to make a conscious effort to catch every full moon for the next twelve months.  Is that crazy?  I mean, enthusiasts do it!  I'll report back when I complete this mission.

Mark your calendars for Friday, November 15th for the next full moon in Illinois.  If you don't set an alert, you might just miss it like I always do.  Don't be like me!
