No More Rims, Backboards, or Soccer Nets at Rockford Parks
The weather is turning more spring-like in the Rockford area, and apparently people are having a hard time with the shelter-in-place order.
We get it. I get it. Social distancing and staying indoors when it's gorgeous outside is the worst.
Do you know what's worse? Spreading a disease around to unsuspecting people. That's why the Rockford Park District is taking down rims, backboards and soccer nets today at all of their parks.
Thank you, Rockford Park District, for taking extra steps, including taking down basketball rims and backboards, as well as soccer nets, to prevent people from congregating.
It's an extra measure I'm certain the Rockford Park District doesn't want to take at the moment but necessary, and personally, I believe it's a good move.
What have you been doing to pass the time while Illinois is under the shelter-in-place order? Tell us!
