NO WAY! Did You Know These 8 Infamous Serial Killers Were Born In Illinois?
If true crime and serial killer documentaries aren't on the top of your list to watch on Netflix, don't talk to me.
One of my favorite pastimes is getting comfy on the couch with all twelve of my blankets and watching crime documentaries on Netflix. I find it absolutely terrifying that people, somewhere in the world, really have no remorse for killing innocent people. Yet, it's fascinating to learn about their mindset, reasoning, and personalities.
After watching Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil And Vile on Netflix, I really got into crime documentaries pretty fast. Not gonna lie, I also love Zac Efron so that was probably my top reason for originally watching the Netflix series.
So that leads me to the infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy. Born in Burlington, Vermont Ted traveled all over the country "for work". Little did anybody know he went to Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Utah, and Florida between 1974 and 1978 where he picked his victims.
He eventually confessed to 30 homicides, which all happened in just 7 states (but estimated to be over 100 homicides). Then, he was eventually executed in Florida's electric chair in 1989.
After watching the documentary, I wondered if there were serial killers like Ted Bundy, but who lived in Illinois. Sure enough, I found a nice handful of murderers who came from every corner of Illinois - not horrifying, right?
So, check out the list of criminals we should be very thankful were locked up for good.
