One of America’s Best Vegetarian Restaurants Is Just Outside Of Rockford

Maybe vegetarian? If you're looking for one of the best vegetarian restaurants in America, might I suggest Chicago?

That's because Ground Control, 3315 West Armitage Road, in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood is supposed to be one of the best vegetarian restaurants in the U.S.

Thrillist says " has built up quite the following in recent years largely on the strength of shockingly satisfying sandwiches like their take on the Jibarito, a vegified take on the classic Puerto Rican sandwich which houses homemade seitan, poblano, onion, garlic, greens, American cheese, and garlic mayo between smashed plantains."

Yelp users say they "fell in love with the taste of our foods! Everyone must come!" while others mention "vegan-friendly! But with mediocre food, Just an okay place." when talking about Ground Control.
