One of Illinois’ Most Incredible Theaters Will Host ‘The Beach Boys’ This Summer

I'm picking up good vibrations... or at least expecting some good vibrations this summer as The Beach Boys plan a tour stop in Rockford.

We are pretty lucky here in Rockford. Not only is our city packed with awesome people and great food, we have one of the most incredible theaters in Illinois right downtown.

Stepping into The Coronado Performing Arts Center is one of my favorite things to do in downtown Rockford. A few steps into the lobby feels like taking a step back in time.

The architecture is beautiful, and you know that marquee is pretty great too.

But the best part is the Coronado brings in some amazing acts! And this summer a huge trip down memory lane is stopping by, The Beach Boys!

There's something about those melodies that just put you in a good mood. Whether you were around when they first started making music in 1960s or you happened to be a big Full House fan in the 80s and 90s and John Stamos sucked you into loving The Beach Boys, it's definitely going to be a hot ticket!

Speaking of tickets, they will go on sale on Friday May 5 and the show is on Friday August 12 at 8 p.m, which is their only Illinois tour date.

Fingers crossed John Stamos wants to tour with them to Rockford too!
