One of Jeopardy’s All-Time Most Difficult Questions Involves Illinois
If there is one game show on the planet that I wished I could be a contestant on, it would be Jeopardy.
Even now, after the death of legendary host Alex Trebek, I'd still want to do it.
After all, Trebek's involvement with the game is what made it so good, but the fact remains, Jeopardy is super fun to play. That is, as long as you know the answers, er questions.
There are some answers that are so difficult that not one of the three contestants could get it right or even bothered to buzz in.
Esquire put together a list of the 20 Hardest Jeopardy Questions of All-Time and referred to questions answers like that as "Triple Stumpers."
After taking a look, I realized 1. I too would have gotten most if not all incorrect and 2. There's even an answer regarding a Broadway musical set in an Illinois city, I also would have guessed incorrectly.
Think you could answer this? It was in the Jeopardy category called "Broadway Lyrics."
Question: In a song from Chicago, we’re told to “give ‘em the old” this title, “give ‘em an act with lots of flash in it.”
Answer: What is razzle dazzle?
Chicago was a hit musical that had a monster run on Broadway in New York City. It's also celebrating its 25th year in 2021 and believe it or not, Broadway officially reopens in just two days (9/23) and Chicago is set to pull off its first show in over 18 months.
Chicago was later turned into an Oscar-winning film starring Renee Zellwegger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Richard Gere.
