Have you been to this overrated tourist spot? Chances are you have, but you didn't know it.

Thrillist put together a list of the 10 most overrated tourists spots in America. I wish I could tell you whether or not these places qualify as overrated.

I've only been to one of the 10 places on the list.

  1. Mount Rushmore (South Dakota)
  2. The Empire State Building (New York)
  3. Hollywood Walk of Fame (California)
  4. Lombard Street (California)
  5. Statue of Liberty (New York)
  6. Mall of America (Minnesota)
  7. Space Needle (Washington)
  8. Beale Street (Tennessee)
  9. The Alamo (Texas)
  10. The Magnificent Mile (Illinois)

Thrillist says "How magnificent can this stretch of the kind of retail/dining establishments (that you can totally find in most major cities) along Michigan Ave be if most people think it's actually called the 'Miracle Mile?'"

Of course the one place I've been to is the Magnificent Mile which I didn't know qualified as a "tourist spot." Who goes to Chicago to check out Michigan Ave?

So what is the most overrated tourist spot in Illinois? Do you agree with the Magnificent Mile or is it something else?
