One of the Safest Small Towns in America is Close to Rockford
Thinking about a change of scenery in 2021? Thinking it's time to move out of the city and start living the small-town life?
You could do worse than living in what is considered one of the safest small towns in America.
While 9 of the "safest towns in America" are located on the east coast, Russell Township in Ohio was the only midwest burg to crack the top 10.
But just outside the top 10, at #16, sits Campton Hills, Illinois, only one hour from Rockford. Safewise says Campton Hills has very low numbers for violent crime and property crime rates.
For real though, I've never heard of Campton Hills. The population according to Safewise is just above 11,000 so that might have something to do with it.
Residents of the Village of Campton Hills wish to maintain the semi-rural quality of their environment and its associated lifestyle. They wish to control their own destiny, act so that property values increase over time at a greater rate than market averages, and ensure the continue excellence of the schools that educate their children.
I can't get over how perfectly situated Campton Hills really is if you commute to Chicago or Rockford. A trip to Rockford from Campton Hills is exactly one hour, while a ride into Chicago is one hour and three minutes.
Campton Hills is literally in between Chicago and Rockford and just look at the houses.
This million-dollar home in Campton Hills is to die for. Realtor.com says the property has five beds, 8.5 baths, and sits on a 4.5-acre lot. There's also an inground pool!
If you're moving in 2021, Campton Hills might be your spot.
