Illinois Grandpa Wins $200K After Favorite Lottery Ticket Sells Out

Sometimes life really is all about timing.  in Illinois, there's a grandpa who went to pick up his regular $5 lottery ticket at Jewel Osco and became $200,000 richer.

Instead of calling it a day for this guy, Oswego man, Clarence Neuenkirchen, decided to try his luck on his "second favorite" lottery ticket after the one he normally gets was all sold out.  For a lot of people, this is a little escape from the real world, and that's exactly how he feels when it comes to these lotto tickets.

Well, that lottery ticket will give him even more of an escape after he hit a $200,000 jackpot.  It paid off!  He beat the odds of nearly 1 in 1.8M people to win the top prize.

When Clarence told his wife the he won, she "jumped up and down so hard he thought she'd break the floor."  Man, I want to know that feeling!  He said the win really hasn't settled in yet and it doesn't feel completely real, but he plans on investing in his reitrement, set up an educational fund for his grandkis, and take his wife on long-awaited vacations.  Maybe... a cruise in the Gulf?!  That's already on his list, plus a trip to France!
