Panera Could’ve Possibly Given Hackers Access to All Your Bread
If you ordered Panera Bread in the last two years, I need you to stop loafing around and go check your bank account.
According to ABC 7 Chicago, things have gone a-rye at Panera Bread. For the last eight months, your favorite place for comfort food's website was vulnerable to hackers; resulting in a data breach that exposed customers emails, birthdays, names and the last four digits of debit cards.
Talk about crumby news.
Currently there's conflicting information on just how many people were affected. Krebs on Security says it's roughly 37 million; Panera says it was less than 10,000.
Even though I'm not the primary breadwinner in my family, I ordered from Panera a few weeks ago, so I'll be checking my account to make sure hackers didn't eat my entire bank roll.
