This Wisconsin Cat Has 29 Toes & a Guinness World Record
I feel like we need to stop what we're doing for a second and admire this beautiful cat in Wisconsin who was born with 29 toes.
LOOK AT ALL THOSE TOE BEANS.
A cat named Erebus Anomaly in Fox Valley has officially been deemed by Guinness World Records for having the most toes on a cat. Honestly, didn't know that was a category that existed, but now that I do, I need to know more.

Erebus has a genetic trait called polydactyly, which basically means he was born with extra toes. It's a naturally occurring trait in cats, and it's especially common in Main Coons. But Erebus clearly decided that having a few bonus toes wasn't enough.

His owners, Kendra and Hunter of Blue Northern Maine Coons, apparently realized pretty quickly that something was different about Erebus after he was born. I can only imagine that conversation!
They went through the verification process required by Guinness World Records, and Erebus is now officially the world record holder for the most toes on a cat.
I have so many questions.
Does he have a favorite toe?
Does he have extra-long toe beans?
Can he still make biscuits the same way as other cats?

Can we talk about how wildly specific Guinness World Records can get? There is apparently a person whose entire job was important enough to confirm that this cat has the most toes on Earth.
Honestly, I'm here for it.
