Recalled: 300,000 Starbucks Frappuccino Drinks, Sold In Illinois
If you love getting your Starbucks fix every morning before work, think again about where you get your Frappuccino from in Illinois.
According to a notice from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, PepsiCo Inc. recalled more than 300,000 Starbucks Frappuccino Vanilla Chilled Coffee drinks due to glass pieces being found in some of the bottles. Ouch, not good!
Don't let this stop you from getting your morning coffee every day, but if you love this drink you might want to switch it up for the time being...
Recalled: 300,000 Starbucks Frappuccino Drinks, Sold In Illinois
On January 28th, 2023, the voluntary recall was issued including 25,200 cases of the vanilla Frappuccino chilled coffee drink. Each case contains 12 bottles, a total of 302,400 bottles included altogether.
This was deemed a Class II recall meaning,
"Lower chance of causing major injuries or death, but where there is still the possibility of serious enough adverse events to have irreversible consequences." [Public Health]
How do you know if YOUR Starbucks drink is part of the recall?
PepsiCo said bottles with expiration dates dating from March 8th, May 29th, June 4th and June 10th are affected by the recall. UPC #: 0 12000-81331 3.

The company did not say if anybody was injured or if any deaths occurred because of the glass found in the bottles, but better to stop drinking it to be safe!
