Here are five more places Allegiant should fly to out of Rockford.

In case you didn't hear the news, Allegiant just started flying direct flights from Chicago Rockford International Airport (RFD) to Nashville.

It's a great thing, too, because I know plenty of folks who, whether it be for a girls' weekend or something else, ended up driving to Nashville when now they can fly just as easily out of RFD.

Allegiant does offer other flights to cities such as Daytona Beach, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Fort Myers, Sarasota, and St. Petersburg.

Most of those places are in Florida, which, by the way, is great. As someone who has traveled a lot to Florida for vacation, using Allegiant to get me there is one of the easiest and most convenient ways I have traveled in my life.

That's why I'm bringing this up today. As someone who lives in the 815, I think it would be fantastic if Allegiant could fly to a handful of other cities.

So that you know, I looked up these cities ahead of time to make sure they are all Allegiant destinations

Austin, Texas

Here's why: Austin City Limits and South by Southwest are two incredible festivals that feature music, movies, art, and so much more.

Boston, Massachusets

Here's why: I went to Boston once when I was very young, but I'm a fan of history, and it would be cool to check out some of the deep history Boston has to offer. Plus, I'd like to check out Fenway Park and maybe, just maybe, see a Red Sox game.

Denver, Colorado

Here's why: I flew to Denver from Chicago, but then we drove out of town to Breckenridge. This time, I'd like to go back to see the mountains and, obviously, a Rockies game. I sure hope Kris Bryant is playing.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Here's why: I've never been to New Orleans, which means I've never been to Mardi Gras. Sorry, my bad.

New York City, New York

Here's why: I love New York and have been there multiple times. I would go back in a heartbeat if asked. There's so much to see, and I don't think I'd ever run out of options.

Where would you fly out of RFD if it were up to you?
