Rockford Was Just Named the 9th Best Place to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day In the Country

Get ready to shake your shamrocks, Rockford just won a pretty sweet St. Paddy's Day title.

Forget heading to Chicago to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, the 815 is the place to party next weekend.

We already knew that... but now everyone knows thanks to Wallet Hub's story on 2019's Best Cities for St. Patrick's Day Celebrations.

Wallet Hub used a bunch of facts and figures to create this list and we are loving it.

According to their study, the top 15 cities in the U.S. for green beer and shamrocking are:

1. Chicago
2. Philadelphia
3. Madison
4. Boston
5. Tampa
6. Naperville
7. New York
8. Pittsburgh
9. ROCKFORD
10. Dayton
11. Milwaukee
12. Cleveland
13. Minneapolis
14. Buffalo
15. Omaha

Not only did we grab a top spot but Naperville, Madison and Milwaukee did too. Take that Chicago... sure you're still number one but there are so many reason to bring your leprechauns to other Midwestern cities.

Get this... one of the reasons Rockford made the list is because in the entire country, we have the third lowest average beer price.
