A Facebook post from a woman in Michigan has gone viral because she noticed something strange soon after she got in her car.

Ashley Hardacre noticed a shirt was placed on her windshield and tucked underneath a windshield wiper.

On her Facebook page, Hardacre says "There were two cars near me and one was running so I immediately felt uneasy and knew I couldn’t get out to get it off... Luckily I knew better than to remove the shirt with cars around me so I drove over to a place where I was safe and quickly rolled down my window and got the shirt off."

UPDATE: According to WGN, police are now saying the incident was a "random prank." The photo has been removed from Facebook.

The belief is noticing the shirt stuck on a windshield wiper will force the driver to get out of their car in order to remove the garment. Doing so in a darkened parking lot, like the one Hardacre had her vehicle parked in, will instantly make that person vulnerable to an attack.

Thankfully Hardacre's parents warned her about the problem in the area. Hardacre said on Facebook, "I'm so glad my parents had informed me that it was happening in our area, I just never thought it would potentially happen to my car."
