Just like pizza, everyone has an opinion on which place makes the best apple cider donuts.

Ask anyone and they will tell you who has the best apple cider donuts, but can you really trust their judgment?

It depends on who you ask, really, but since I wanted to find the consensus for which places make the best, I consulted Yelp.

Yelp listed 6 places under the "Best Apple Cider Donuts" heading, so here we go.

The list features Rockford mainstays such as Doughboys Donuts, Edwards Apple Orchard West, and Cherry Valley's Valley Orchard, but Curran's Orchard took the top spot.

Not everyone is enamored with Curran's Orchard cider donuts though. One Yelper went as far as to say they were "terrible," but even the best businesses will experience some form of negative feedback from time to time.
