You begged, persuaded, or just straight up asked and got the answer you wanted, and now you're officially getting married.

Now the fun begins. Uh, "fun" for some. The process of planning a wedding could be an absolute nightmare but if you're hunting for a wedding venue while living in Illinois, you're in luck.

Up at the top is the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel.

Chicago Athletic Hotel:

Celebration is always in the air at our painstakingly-restored 1893 Venetian Gothic hotel with its postcard views and historic venues. There’s no better Chicago backdrop to launch your life story with the one you love most.

Based on what I'm seeing, this hotel might be the best wedding venue in the midwest.

Next up is the Chicago Cultural Center.

According to the city of Chicago website, it's "a stunning venue for private weddings, both big and small."

The third place in Illinois perfect for a wedding is at The Langham. Located at 330 North Wabash in Chicago, and is called "The ultimate in luxury city weddings."

How about a wedding at a zoo? Cafe Brauer at the Lincoln Park Zoo is also called a great wedding venue.

The Knot:

...the café provides a truly one-of-a-kind setting. Though situated in the heart of the metropolis, the venue offers a serene ambience where milestone moments can be celebrated.

The 5th option in the Land of Lincoln is the University Club of Chicago and their website says "In our century-old setting, your big day will be one for the books."

While one of the wedding venues is zoo adjacent, the last option is at a museum, the world-famous Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago.

Field Museum:

If dinosaurs and elephants are on your guest list, say 'I do' to hosting your event in one of our breathtaking spaces.

If you're getting married in 2022, you could do much worse than these six wedding venues.
