A study done overseas in the UK shows that Rockford residents have pretty much the same taste as the rest of America.

I always find that movie tough to put in the Christmas genre. Is it really about Christmas or more about Halloween? There are some Christmas themes for sure, but it's not quite what I would say "qualifies" as a Christmas flick.

Don't get me wrong, I really like The Nightmare Before Christmas, it just seems like an odd choice for it to be America's favorite.

So I consulted Google Trends to see if Rockford's holiday film tastes align with the rest of the country.

Narrowing my search results from October 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019, Google Trends also says that The Nightmare Before Christmas is Rockford's top choice.

The Nightmare Before Christmas is followed closely by National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and A Christmas Story. Also, on the list was A Charlie Brown Christmas, which as far as I'm concerned isn't a movie but a TV special so not sure why it was listed at all.

Anyway, now that we know Rockford chooses The Nightmare Before Christmas as its favorite holiday flick, do you agree? What's your favorite Christmas movie? Tell us.
