Suburban Chicago High School Grad Scores Big At Golden Globes
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin but schooled in Highland Park, Illinois, this former wrestler came up big (again) at the Golden Globes last night.
I was surprised to hear Marvelous Ms. Maisel star, Rachel Brosnahan was born in Milwaukee.
Even more so when after doing a bit of digging realizing she actually went to Highland Park High School just outside of Chicago, about 90 minutes from Rockford.
Brosnahan graduated from Highland Park in 2008, and while there, spent two years on the wrestling team. Brosnahan told Seth Myers in a recent interview she had to give it up due to her acting schedule.
It appears Brosnahan made the right choice too. She scooped up her second consecutive Golden Globes win for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical, for Marvelous Ms. Maisel.
Brosnahan's career continues to explode. We'll see her on the big screen at some point this year, opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in a movie called Ironbark.
