We all know someone who can't go a day without ordering their favorite coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin'.  I, personally, will drink a refresher from Dunkin' every day of the year if I had the funds, but I control the habit haha.  I get the obsession, though.

Because Illinois is known for its unpredictable weather, we never really know when we can put away summer clothes and bring out all the fall vibes.  But once temps significantly drop and stay that way for a while, you know it's 100% go-time to get everything pumpkin spice and everything nice.

Coffee shops slowly start to change up their menu, rolling our all the seasonal flavors; caramel apple, pumpkin lattes, maple pecan mocha... the flavor start getting crazy.  Sure, you could order all of them iced, but why do that when a "hot" option exists?!  It's like wrapping your hands around a mug that doubles as a heater.  See what I mean?

Hot coffee, hot cocoa, hot everything in my world.  Iced coffee doesn't exist, even if it's a thousand degrees and dead of summer.  For some reason, I love hot drinks, always.  There's a certain energy it gives off, especially in the fall and winter.

So next time you're tempted to order your iced coffee order, remember that fall in Illinois tastes way, way, way better in a hot freakin' mug.
