There's a chance you already know this... but you're not washing your towels as much as you should.

Bathroom towels.

You use them, hang them up (hopefully) and then use them again.

And again. And again. And again.

At least most people do.

Eventually you wash them, but that's probably a little later than you should.

Don't feel too bad. It's not just you. It's me, too. And probably 75 percent of your friends.

Unless you're one of those people who swap a towel out every day.

According to an interview with cleaning expert, Jolie Kerr on Cosmo's website, you should be washing your towels every three uses. She says uses, not days, because some of us (me included) sometimes take two showers a day, or you know... skip showering. Yeesh.

I would say I probably swap my towel like four or five days after I start using it. But honestly all of my towels are the same color, so I'm not sure. Maybe I should buy different colored towels.

She also talks about how often you should wash your sheets, and her questionnaire to decide that answer is pretty amazing.

So it's time for you to fess up, how often do you wash your towels and sheets?
