An Oklahoma teacher told a 4-year-old boy that he had to write with his right hand; even though he's left handed.

Why on earth would a teacher do that?

Like a lot of 4-year-olds, Zayde is learning how to read and write in his pre-k class; and like his mom, Zayde is also left handed.  From coloring to batting and throwing things, Zayde has always done it with his left hand. So, imagine how confusing it must be, as a kid, to be told by your teacher that you're not allowed to do those things with your left hand because it's evil and sinister.

One night, when Zayde was doing his homework, his mom noticed that he was writing with his right hand and she asked him if any of the teachers talked to him about his hands. He raised his left hand and said, "this one's bad." Zayde's mom, Alisha, couldn't believe it. She sent a note to the teacher asking for an explanation and what she got in return was a letter, along with an article, saying that being left handed was “unlucky,” “evil,” and “sinister.” It even made mention of the devil being left handed.

Alisha went to the superintendent with the article and she was shocked when the school hadn't done anything to discipline the teacher...at all.  Zayde will likely transfer to another class; hopefully soon.

What, if anything, do you think should happen to this teacher?
