Take a trip down memory lane, just brace yourself, because you're going to see some stuff.

Messing around on YouTube, I decided to check out the most viewed "Rockford, Illinois" videos of all time.

Originally, I typed in "Rockford" in the search bar and came up with some stuff from Rockford Files, Rockford Fosgate, and the video game Grand Theft Auto 5.

Apparently, there's a Rockford HIlls in the game and people love to make videos about the fictional place.

Anyway, after adding "Illinois" to the search I got a better feel for what's the most viewed ever.

What I found was kind of interesting. The videos that missed the cut feature protesters clashing with police in downtown Rockford, a tornado hitting a TV station, a couple of dance videos, and a Chuck E. Cheese video.

All five of those are just under one million views on YouTube, the top five all reach that mark.

5. Congo seben (Valentine's Day party Rockford IL) Rio

Just a dance video at a party in Rockford. Posted two years ago, sitting at one million YouTube views.

4. Spectator Drags - Rockford Speedway - 07/04/2020

A 30-minute video featuring regular cars at the Rockford Speedway drag racing. It's pretty insane. The first race featured a minivan. Sitting at nearly one and a half million views.

3. 2015 WWII Days - Rockford, IL - German WWI Fallschirmjager Veteran

If you've lived in Rockford for one minute, I'm sure you're aware of WWII Days at Midway Village. It's something that happens yearly in town but for some reason, this video, of two guys talking, has 2.7 million views on YouTube.

2. Coyote Chases Family Dog in Rockford, Illinois

Hey, this one comes from Q98.5. I'm guessing it comes from a fan because I don't think it's Lil Zim or JB in the clip. Coyotes show up just about every summer in the Rockford area trying to get after dogs. This scary clip shows one pup barking at a coyote all caught on a backdoor cam and racks up just over 3.1 million YouTube views.

1. Inside A Crack House | US Drug Gangs Exposed (Crime Documentary) | Real Stories

I really wish this video wasn't the most viewed video of all time in Rockford but it is. The description of the vid says "In the summer of 2005, federal agents and police in Rockford, Illinois, captured over a thousand hours of surveillance footage...". It has been viewed over 3.4 million times on YouTube. The video was posted in April of 2021.
