Three Stateline Cities Make ‘100 Safest in Illinois’

Bragging rights are in order for three Rockford area cities that were named on the '100 Safest Cities in Illinois List.'

It's always good to feel safe where you live so we should absolutely celebrate the safe cities in the area.

The Background Check list for Illinois popped up this week listing the safest cities in Illinois and Freeport, Machesney Park and Roscoe all landed on the list.

Roscoe took the highest spot in the area at #41, Freeport is #86 and Machesney Park is #95.

The top ten cities are:

1. Warrenville
2. Deerfield
3. Elk Grove Villages
4. Burr Ridge
5. Wood Dale
6. Mundelien
7. Winnetka
8. Lake Zurich
9. Vernon Hills
10. Buffalo Grove

While some of us might think Rockford wouldn't be near the top 100, it actually falls at #111.
