The "Tonight Show" hasn't been taped in Chicago since 1998, but Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has done something that should change that pretty soon.

In June, Mayor Emanuel was on the "Tonight Show" and offered a challenge to Chicago students that would end with Jimmy Fallon bringing the show to Chicago.

The mayor made a deal with Jimmy, that if Chicago kids managed to read 2.4 million books this summer, the show would visit the Windy City.

Chicago students killed that number, reading about 66 million minutes during the summer.

Sunday night, Mayor Emanuel said, "It’s time to pick a venue, Jimmy!" in a written statement.

If this happens, which I suspect it will, I'm taking that day off and going to the show.

Come to Chicago, Jimmy!
