Honestly, I was very skeptical for most of my life regarding paranormal activity. It was hard for me to believe because I had never had my own personal encounter. Then, I met a couple of ghost hunters from the Rockford area.

A few years ago, Dan Norvell and Larry Eissler from Expedition Entity started coming on my show to discuss ghost hunting in and around the Rockford area. They brought photos, videos, and sound evidence of their paranormal findings. I wasn't completely convinced.

Going On A Paranormal Investigation

They offered to bring me on an investigation. I took them up on their offer. Our first adventure was at Veterans Memorial Hall in downtown Rockford. According to their previous experiences there, it was a disappointing evening. We didn't witness anything major.

The next time out we hit a home run at the Tinker Swiss Cottage. It is known to be one of the prime haunted locations in the Forest City. After that night, I'm now a believer in ghosts.

There was a lot of interaction with spirits. We heard footsteps upstairs with no one in that part of the house. They communicated with us through the different pieces of ghost hunting equipment like the Ghost Box and Dowsing Rods.

Famous Haunted Road In Illinois

Each year during the month of October, they join me on the air to share stories about some of their favorite haunts in Illinois. The one that gets brought up every year is Bloods Point Road.

This road is located in Boone County, between Fairdale and Pearl Road.

 

For unexplained reasons, it is one of the most active hotbeds of paranormal activity in Illinois.

 

There are many unexplained sightings on the road, from vintage cars to regular spirits.

 

Some of the stories include Hellhounds guarding Blood Points Cemetary, a school bus crash, and a hanging off of the bridge. My ghost hunting experts have done a lot of research about that area and were never about to find any actual evidence of these horrific events. They all seem to be Urban Legends.

They have done numerous investigations in and around Bloods Point Road with absolutely no success. Not even at the cemetery. Now, the team wants to look deeper into this infamous location.
