Why Is This Man’s Driver’s License Photo Going Viral?

The man in the photo is Alex Morales, a former Marine. Morales was at a California DMV to renew his driver's license.

When Morales turn came around he was told he needed to remove his USMC hat for his license photo.

When he refused, Morales pointed out the other men who wore turbans in the driver's license photos.

Initially he was rebuffed, but soon after the California DMV made an exception to the rule for Morales. A Facebook post titled "SCORED ONE FOR VETERANS!!" explains further.
