Wisconsin Restaurants That Have Been Featured on ‘Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives’
One of Food Network's most popular shows is Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Millions of people tune in weekly to see which hidden gem restaurants are featured.
So when Guy Fieri comes pulling up in his classic ride and sets up shop, you should probably take notice.
Surprisingly the list of towns Fieri has visited in Wisconsin is rather sparse. Not quite as many as I would expect considering how long Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives has been on TV.
Even more stunning is the amount of restaurants that have closed since they've been on TV.
I figured it would be great exposure for the restaurant and the kind of thing that would really boost sales.
However, of the eight Wisconsin restaurants featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives only four remain according to dinersdriveinsdives.com.
It could be the pandemic or something altogether different, but these four Wisconsin restaurants once featured on Triple D are closed:
- Kounty Quarthouse in South Range, Wisconsin
- Comet Cafe in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Cempazuchi in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Shorty's Pizza and Smoked Meat in Superior, Wisconsin
That means there are only four places in Wisconsin to check out if you're going to tour every restaurant profiled on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives.
1. Brick House Cafe, 13485 Reynolds Street in Cable Wisconsin.
Rated a four and a half out of five on Yelp.
You should probably order the Creme Brulee French Toast.
Andrea C. on Yelp reviewed the Brick House Cafe saying "Such a great place! We went here every morning for breakfast while we were visiting the Cable area and the food was hot, service was great, and the cafe was so cute and inviting! The eggs Benedict was my favorite and my husband's was the Creme Brulee French toast."
2. Delta Diner, 14385 County Highway H in Delta, Wisconsin.
Rated four and a half out of five on Yelp.
You should probably order the Red Eye Gravy on Biscuits.
Brad S. on Yelp said "I really enjoyed the Delta Diner. They have a lot of interesting food you won't find anywhere else in the area, like hot pepper pancakes and cappuccino gravy biscuits."
3. Anchor Bar, 413 Tower Avenue in Superior, Wisconsin.
Rated a four out of five on Yelp.
You should probably order a burger, just any burger.
Matt S. on Yelp reviewed Anchor Bar saying "The burgers are incredible. If you do not order a burger from Anchor bar you're doing it wrong. And they're cheap, incredibly cheap burgers."
4. Frank's Diner, 508 58th Street in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Rated four out of five on Yelp.
You should probably order the Garbage Plate.
Darren M. on Yelp reviewed Frank's Dinner mentioning "The atmosphere was great, the food was ridiculously awesome and the portions were huge. I ordered the half garbage plate with 3 meats and 3 cheeses, it was a lot of food but I enjoyed every bit of it."
