Did You Know This Is Wisconsin’s Most Popular Junk Food Item?
When you think of junk food, do you think of candy? I know I don't. I think of food items like chips, cookies, and muffins. Well, today that changes!
In a state where a lot of cheese flows through your bloodstream, you'd think Wisconsin's favorite junk food item would be something cheesy or cheese related. Thankfully, it's not. If you are craving a little bit of a crunchy, caramel goodness today and looking for new junk food to give a try, how does a Twix sound?
Yeah, Wisconsin's favorite junk food item is Twix.
Honestly, I love myself a king size Twix bar every once in a while! I used to eat one every day before class when I was in college. It was the fix I needed before I went to my 3 hour lecture... and yes, it 100% hit the spot!
I guess everybody has their preference for what they want to indulge in when they're on the hunt for some good junk food. Wisconsin's just happens to be Twix.
How was this determined? Well, a group of experts took a dive deep into the top Google searches in every state and Twix was the most searched junk food by Wisconsin peeps.

So maybe it's not necessarily the most popular to actually eat in Wisconsin, but everybody and their neighbor just happened to be curious about Twix this year.
Illinois' favorite junk food item is actually Skinny Pop popcorn and I am not disappointed by that! If I had to pick a favorite junk food to eat for the rest of my life, I'd probably pick popcorn. It's light and airy, tasty, and you can add whatever flavors you want to it to kinda spice it up every time.
Makes sense why I live in Illinois, we all love us some popcorn in the prairie state!
What's your favorite go-to junk food item? If it involves anything with a ton of sugar to energize me, I'm all for it!
