A woman spent her Easter Sunday handing out blessing baskets to homeless people in Chicago.

The woman who goes by ImTheBombDotCom on Twitter put together baskets that included:

  • Clothing
  • Food
  • Toiletries
  • Medicine
  • A notebook and pen

In each notebook she left a note saying "Hello, Happy Easter. I too used to be homeless! But, don't give up on God & he won't give up on you."

However, no good deed goes unpunished when it comes to social media, and the woman received negative backlash for sharing her good deed on Twitter.

The woman seems to have a rather positive approach after the negative attention, sharing a tweet explaining why she did what she did.

While I'm sure the woman liked the recognition but I trust her intentions when all she really wanted to do is raise awareness.

Based on the reaction, I think she could say "mission accomplished."
