Woodfield Mall Crasher Charged With Terrorism
Palatine man accused of crashing his car into Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg on September 20, has been charged with terrorism.
22-year-old Javier Garcia was transferred from AMITA Health Behavior Medicine institute on Friday and placed into police custody, according to wgntv.com. He is being charged with terrorism (a Class X felony) and A LOT of criminal damage to property (a Class 2 felony).
The question I've had from the beginning, still has no answer - what was his motive? Police believe he acted alone and wasn't targeting any specific person, group, or business.
Many people shopping at Woodfield at the time posted videos on their social media accounts. The fact that no one was injured, is still so amazing to me.
