Your Favorite Rockton Ice Cream Shop Sets a Date for Wine Pour Overs
If you told me this morning I would wake up and find my two favorite indulgences were coming together for one night only, I wouldn't have believed you. But, I would have been wrong!
You better believe I'm looking for a date to meet me in Rockford on August 22 for the marriage of Dairyhaus ice cream and After the Vine wine.
August is such a bittersweet month. I'm writing this as I'm getting ready to put on my sweatshirt to go to the final Friday Night Flix of the season. Sure it's still summer, but despite how many times I try to shout 'summer isn't over yet!' We all know summer is close to being over.

We might have a few warm weekends ahead of us this month, and maybe even a surprisingly warm one in October, but the long days full of humidity are winding down, which is why we have to make the most of every 'end of summer,' celebration.
On Thursday August 22, one of those celebrations is in Rockton, Illinois at After the Vine.
Most days and nights you can find delicious wine at their storefront, but on the 22nd, you'll also find Dairyhaus' ice cream.
The teams at After the Vine and Dairyhaus have worked together to create wine pour overs for us to enjoy.

According to the Facebook event, starting at 5pm we all get to pick from three ice creams and four wines to create the pour overs and once the clock hits 8, the pour over-ing is over until next year.
I'm adding this to my calendar as soon as I'm done writing, this sounds like the perfect way to say good-bye to summer.
