Have you ever noticed when scrolling through your Facebook feed do you notice people that you aren't friends with our businesses that you don't 'like' showing up? Kind of annoying, right?

Well, Twitter is joining in. According to Business Insider, Twitter has updated the page that defines how their timeline works.

It reads: "when we identify a Tweet, an account to follow, or other content that's popular or relevant, we may add it to your timeline. This means you will sometimes see Tweets from accounts you don't follow. We select each Tweet using a variety of signals, including how popular it is and how people in your network are interacting with it. Our goal is to make your home timeline even more relevant and interesting."

Until recently, your Twitter feed was filled with tweets only from those you follow. With the new timeline update in place, you will now see favorites and re-tweets from other users. Ugh.

This pretty much states (for example) if Ashton Kutcher favorites a tweet from one of his start up companies it could show up in my feed regardless of whether or not I follow that Twitter account.

Long story short, it doesn't matter who you follow on Twitter.

Facebook made changes and we are still on board. Twitter will do the same. So, it's cool, I wanted to know what Ashton Kutcher has been up to anyway.
