Do you remember that one time, when shoes like Air Jordan's, British Knights and L.A. Gear were popular? (I would just like to acknowledge that I totally aged myself there) If you wanted a pair, you told your mom and dad; they'd take you to the mall and if the store had them, great- you'd buy them, and if they didn't, you would just keep looking or pass on them all together.  Ah yes, those were the good ol' days.

But now, it's so much harder to obtain a pair of fancy kicks. People have waited in line for days, even weeks for the newest pair of LeBrons, Kobes or Curry 1s; that's just craziness.

Not as crazy as what Kanye West is going to make you go through in order to get a new pair of Yeezys. TMZ reports that shoe stores that will be getting the shoes, which are $350, will only get 60 pairs. If you're interested in getting a pair, you'll have to get in line, get a wristband and check in with the store three times a day- noon, 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.; with your ID. You must show up for every check-in and present your ID; if you miss even one check-in, you're out.

Seems like a lot of work for some shoes that will be out of style by the end of the year. Your money is better spent elsewhere, like on things you can buy right here in Rockford.

Here are some of my favorite things in Rockford that are easier to buy than Kanye West's Yeezys. I mean...who wouldn't want 60 cake pops from Yolo's Sweets?
