Before Prime Day Starts, Rockford Shoppers Should Read This

Amazon Prime Day starts tomorrow, and plenty of shoppers will be getting after some big deals.

While it usually runs in July, this year the sale will kick off on Tuesday, June 23, and wrap up on Friday, June 26.

Amazon is saying there will be savings on everything from groceries to household items, and a whole lot in between.

Even retailers are getting in on the action, with sales at Walmart and Target during the same time period.

However, with all of the online sales occurring, that means plenty of deliveries, and it also means plenty of porch pirates coming out of the woodwork.

Expect a major increase of stuff like this happening this week in Rockford and beyond, but lucky for us, there are some places you can go to make sure your packages are secure, like:

• Amazon Hub Lockers, like the one at Circle K, 1030 East State Street (open 24 hours a day for pickup), and Dollar Tree at 526 East Jefferson Street in Rockford, are two options.
• There are also Amazon Hub Lockers at CherryVale Mall, Rockford University, and another at Mobil on Linden Road near Jefferson High School. Click HERE for the full list.
• Other options include scheduling for when you or someone else is at home to ensure the package is delivered.

It sucks to have to take extra precautions, but it could be worse. Don't let your Prime Day deals end up in someone else's living room.
