Spooky season is here! But what if you don't really want to be spooked at all this Halloween season? You just want to have a nice time enjoying silly pumpkins? If that's the case, the Racine Zoo has you covered.

We're just a few weeks away from Halloween which means it's time to cram in as many spooky events in your calendar.

The list of Halloween events might seem endless but a lot of them have a scary factor, for obvious reasons... Halloween definitely has scary vibes, but what if that's not how you want to celebrate October?

Are children-themed pumpkin patches your own option? Nope! Thanks to the Racine Zoo and the 1,000 Jack-O-Lanterns gracing their grounds this month.

You can check out the Racine Zoo's Jack-O-Lanterns during the day like Sierra, Jeff and Remy did.

Or you can take the spook factor up a little... like one notch, and enjoy them after hours during Jack-O-Lantern Nights, which runs Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through November 3.

During the day, photo opps with the Jack-O-Lanterns are part of the Racine Zoo admission. From 6-10pm during the Jack-O-Lantern Nights Event, each ticket is $10, children under 2 are free.

I hear after the Jack-O-Lanterns, we're in for a holiday lights exhibit on the same grounds at the zoo.
