A Guide to All the New Characters on ‘13 Reasons Why’ Season 2
Hannah's tapes may have ended in 13 Reasons Why Season 1, but her story is far from over. In fact, it's expanding ― and so is the show's cast. Come Friday (May 18), the buzzy teen drama will welcome several new faces into the fold. Get to know them below.

Chloe
Played by Anne Winters, an alum of shows like Tyrant, Wicked City, and The Fosters, Chloe is described as the head cheerleader and new "It Girl" at Liberty High. It's also been revealed that she's dating Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice), the show's villain at large.
Winters can next be seen in upcoming comedy Night School alongside Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart.

Nina
Another mysterious addition, Nina is a “well respected track star with a secret,” who, from the looks of it, soon befriends Jessica (Alisha Boe). She's portrayed by Samantha Logan, also a Fosters vet, who's appeared on shows including General Hospital and Junior.

Cyrus
Newcomer Bryce Cass, who starred in NBC's Cruel Intentions adaptation before it was scrapped, plays Cyrus, an “edgy, cynical mischief maker" at Liberty who links up with Tyler (Devin Druid).

Mackenzie
Chelsea Alden appears as Cyrus' sister, Mackenzie, an “artsy and witty girl who isn’t afraid to speak her mind.” Fans will recognize her from episodes of American Horror Story: Roanoke, Veep, Grey’s Anatomy, The Ranch, and Jane the Virgin. She most recently featured in Sundance gem The Tale, opposite Laura Dern.

Rick
Ben Lawson (Designated Survivor, Doubt) joins as Rick, Liberty's baseball coach.

Jackie
Broadway legend Kelli O’Hara portrays Jackie, an advocate for victims of bullying. In 2015, she won a Tony for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for The King and I, and has more recently nabbed TV gigs on The Good Fight and Masters of Sex.

Barry
Homeland alum Jake Weber plays Bryce's dad, Barry, a "successful hedge fund manager and pillar of the community.”

Nora
Brenda Strong ― best known for her turns in Desperate Housewives, Dallas, and 7th Heaven, among a lengthy list of others ― takes on part as Nora, Bryce's mom.

Caleb
Following stints on Tycoon, The Carrie Diaries, and Girls, RJ Brown joins 13 Reasons Why as Tony’s boxing trainer, Caleb. He's described by Deadline as someone who is “a fierce competitor and dedicated coach," but out of the ring "has a warm smile and a wry sense of humor.”

Carolyn
Fans met Alex's father, a police officer, in Season 1, and now they'll see his mother, Carolyn. She's portrayed by Meredith Monroe, who most will remember as Dawson's Creek's Andie McPhee, but has also been featured in Hart of Dixie, Criminal Minds, and CSI.

Sonya is an “ambitious young litigator" played by Allison Miller, whose past TV roles include Incorporated, Selfie, and Go On.
