Willson Contreras and Anthony Rizzo homered off Los Angles ace Clayton Kershaw in Game 6, and Dexter Fowler, Kris Bryant and Ben Zobrist added RBIs as the Cubs finally ended their 71-year streak between World Series appearances.
The press corps named Chicago starter Jon Lester (a win, two runs, nine hits, two walks and nine strikeouts in 13 innings) and second baseman Javier Baez (7-for-22 with five RBIs) co-MVPs of the series.
Kershaw took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in five innings.
