5 Air Shows in Illinois This Summer, Since the Rockford AirFest Was Cancelled
This past weekend should have been the Rockford AirFest, but since it was cancelled, we'll have to find another place to hang with some jets.
There was something too good to be true about the Rockford AirFest. Aside from the parking situation, everything about the fest was perfect.
If you've ever been to both the Chicago Air Show and the Rockford AirFest you know what I'm talking about. Rockford was just better.
Better seating, better weather, a better chance of actually seeing the planes.
Then, poof, just like that AirFest was cancelled indefinitely.
It was a very sad day when we heard that news.
Without AirFest I wouldn't have had a blast with the Golden Knights, had the chance to ride on Fat Albert (which was one of the scariest things ever)... or make my dad feel like king of the AirFest.
But, we can't live in the past, right?
Since we aren't having an Air Show in Rockford, we'll have to get in the car and travel to one of these five shows in Illinois, according to Milavia.
Despite my complaints about the Chicago Air & Water Show, I'll probably take a trip to that one.
