5 Stunning Spots to See Fall Foliage in Rockford

Rock Cut State Park (obviously!) - The place I love hiking the most!  You can't talk about fall in Rockford without visiting Rock Cut.  The trails will be breathtaking this time of year, and driving through the park is beautiful, too!

Shaw Woods Neighborhood - I've said this once before: if feels like you're driving through Narnia when you're here.  My parents live in this neighborhood and walking through Shaw Woods is an experience we all need to have.  You don't even realize you're in Rockford!

Anderson Japanese Gardens - Fall here is calm, cinematic, and peaceful.  It makes you feel like you've escaped to a completely different world.  The Gardens never fail to surprise us in the fall.

Klehm Arboretum - A museum for trees.  That's how I'd describe it. 55 acres of woodlands and botanical gardens. Perfect place for leaf-peeping and exploring with the kiddos!  They have tons of events happening this fall, too.

Severson Dells - If you prefer your fall view with a side of quiet nature, go to Severson Dells.  The walking paths are lined with trees that glow in the afternoon and if you go the right time of day, you get the whole nature preserve to yourself!
