Because of a generous donation from national candy retailer, It Sugar, we were able to bring some smiles to those working the COVID-19 frontline.

By the end of the month of March, all It Sugar stores across the country were closed. One of the biggest candy retailers in the U.S. had to shut all of their doors before one of the biggest holidays in the candy business, Easter.  Their shelves were filled with innovative sweets, fun novelty gifts, and giant candy.

John Nelson, one of The Steve Shannon Show's regular guest, runs the It Sugar store on State St. in downtown Madison, Wisconsin. Faced with the possibility of having to throw a mountain of candy away, John reached out and offered it to us to share.

Take a look at the small mountain of candy we were able to deliver around Rockford to healthcare workers.

A great big thank you to John Nelson and It Sugar, for thinking of us during this difficult time. This photo gallery is filled with smiles; a difficult thing to find in the midst of this healthcare nightmare.

Please give It Sugar some love and pick up some candy for yourself, online for now. You can also find them on Facebook.
