Anna Kendrick may be able to hold a note as a capella Bella Beca in the Pitch Perfect series, but her pop star chops pretty much end there, despite her breakout soundtrack single "Cups (When I'm Gone)" peaking at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Speaking to The EDIT for her cover story, the actress revealed that when it comes to interacting with fans, she's simply not as talented as, say, Taylor Swift.

In fact, the Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates star said that while "Miss America" Swift is a pro at making fans feel special — from personally crashing their weddings to sending personalized Christmas gifts — Kendrick can only be her weird self.

"I'd be terrible at being like Taylor Swift, the perfect Miss America version of interacting with fans and making sure they have a good experience," she explained. "I mean, I don't want people to meet me and have it f*** up their day, but I'm glad I can say something weird to them and they know that's just me."

She added that much of her communication relies on her sarcastic sense of humor, and while it's not something she can "switch off," it is something she's learned to appreciate.

"When I’m snarky with people, they know that’s just how I communicate," Kendrick said.

Thankfully, the actress will continue her "snarky" form of communicating with the masses on November 15, when her debut book Scrappy Little Nobody drops on shelves.
