Football season has begun. That means Sunday Fundays, weekend parties, good food, beer, and dealing with your best friend or spouse who loves the 'other' team.

I was at a friend's house on Sunday to engage in some football watching. Most everyone there were Chicago Bears fans. As most of you know, I'm a Green Bay Packers fan. Almost all of the people at this party were watching the Bears game out on the deck, surrounded by all the beer-filled coolers, food hot from the grill and the most comfortable chairs. For me and the one other Packer fan it was banishment to the basement to watch what we considered the 'good' game.

Living on the Illinois/Wisconsin border means there are many Bear and Packer fans alike. So we must all get along (or at least make the other side think so). The Packers won that day. In fact, so did every other team in the NFC. Except the Bears. Just sayin. Can't wait until Thursday, October 20th when the Bears and Packers play each other and my friends and I can all watch the same game in one room. And I can do my victory dance when the Packers beat the "other" team aka the Bears.
