Let's be real-Illinois weather never makes yard work easy. One week it’s raining, next, your grass is tall enough to be a code violation. Then it's finally sunny outside and everyone has gotten their mowers out like it's a race to see who can have the prettiest yard.

That's not considering anyone with acres of land, okay? I just read this on the internet, so don't think you have to get your lawn done in under an hour to beat any kind of world record.
I know so many people who take their landscaping and grass very seriously around here. My dad? He chases squirrels away when he sees them roaming around his yard. They like to bury their food in his yard and tear up the grass. It makes him so angry because he takes pride in having a really nice lawn! He mows now only his lawn, but two or three neighbors near him, too. It takes him about an hour for each house, but he also has a riding mower to help pick up the pace.
So, even though it only takes the average homeowner in Illinois about an hour to mow their lawn, they forgot to factor in the neighbors waving, stopping to talk, trying to beat the rain, bathroom breaks, and everything in-between. It's a whole event just to mow the damn lawn, I swear. Thank goodness I have a landlord!
